Hemochromatosis – Success with Holistic Approaches

Although hemochromatosis is currently one of the most common metabolic disorders, it is still rarely diagnosed. This is partly due to its nonspecific symptoms and partly because there are only very few specialists in this field.

Dr. Dorothea Schleicher-Brückl is one of these specialists. She conducted 7 years of research on hemochromatosis and completed her doctoral thesis on “Rational therapy of hemochromatosis with erythrocytapheresis under low-dose erythropoietin treatment.” She has been treating patients for over 10 years and continues to research the disease today.

Due to the high demand for hemochromatosis therapy, our practice now has two devices for treatment (see also “Hemochromatosis News”).

For more detailed information on hemochromatosis, see our section on Hemochromatosis Therapy or Dr. Schleicher-Brückl’s article in Paracelsus Magazin 6/18: “Hemochromatosis – A Common Metabolic Disorder”.
