The birth control pill is one of the most commonly used
contraceptives. This is partly due to its high effectiveness when
used correctly (Pearl Index 0.1–0.9). Most commonly, ovulation
inhibitors are used, which suppress ovulation through specific
hormones.
When the desire for children arises and the pill is discontinued,
the woman’s body must first readjust to functioning without the
external hormones. In some cases, this leads to what is known as
post-pill syndrome. But what exactly does that mean?
Taking the pill introduces synthetic hormones into the body’s
natural system. This disrupts the hormonal balance, and the natural
rhythm is suppressed. After stopping the pill, this natural hormonal
rhythm often reactivates on its own, allowing pregnancy to occur.
However, in some women, the body may be confused or hormonally
imbalanced after years of pill use.
Symptoms may include mood swings, headaches, acne, hair loss, or
absence of menstruation. But don’t worry: post-pill syndrome is not
dangerous—it just requires a little patience. For some women, the
body simply needs more time to regulate itself and restore hormonal
balance. And there are ways to support the body during this
adjustment.
Long-term use of the pill can disrupt the woman’s hormonal system. If unstable hormone and immune values are detected, they can be regulated naturally without harmful substances. Especially effective are alchemically prepared spagyric remedies and herbal medicine. These help restore hormonal harmony.
Lady’s mantle, for example, is considered a classic women’s
herb—just as the name suggests. Drinking 2–3 cups of lady’s mantle
tea per day can help bring the hormone system back into balance.
In spagyric medicine, metals are also important. Two feminine,
empowering metals are copper and silver. Spagyric copper supports
kidney function, while spagyric silver regulates the menstrual
cycle, promotes relaxation, and strengthens feminine energy on all
levels.
Neural therapy is another powerful treatment option that can effectively stimulate the body’s own hormone production.
Naturopathy offers a wide range of excellent natural remedies, which can be individually tailored to each woman’s needs.
